Any dawg you choose will always be a good one. I try to have a different one at each visit. But I do think the deep fried dawg is the best way to enjoy it.

Thanks for being such a great place to go with friends. I love the food and try to have something different each time. Your place is a hot dog lovers dream come true and we always have a good time eating and hanging out there. Tuesday nights are a super deal that I know people appreciate, so thank you for that too. I LOVE Capitol Dawg and am grateful for the Wednesday State Worker Lunch special. Their veggie corndog and sweet potato fries are out of this world. And to top it off, they serve Diet Coke!

Finally, a great hot dog. I had a super time there last night and I cannot wait to return again. I love the ambience, the service, and mostly, the hot dogs. THANK YOU for being my new fave place this side of Grey's Papaya in NYC.

Mike, it was a pleasure trying out your fine hot dogs. You were right, the Prop 51 Chicago style dog did not disappoint! It is definitely the most authentic that I've had outside of Chi-town. Even your choice of a non-Chicago based frank was well thought out. I thought that the flavor was just as good as any that I've had in Illinois and it was nice not to run out of hot dog by the time that I ran out of bun. BTW, I was amazed by the freshness of your Chicago imported poppy seed bun!
We also enjoyed the BB Kings Dawg...simple and delicious. But I must say that your chili fries and sweet potato fries were top of the line! The homemade chili was really flavorful and a perfect complement to the unsoggified french fries. The sweet potato fries were cut thick enough to enjoy the sweetness and fried perfectly. Thanks for the wonderful suggestions and conversation...we'll be back!

I love your place, its definitely the best place to get hot dogs in the greater sacramento area. having said that I think you should take down the doganator hot dog because Arnold is a disgrace to california. I find it a little ironic that there's a doganator dawg, and a furlough wednesday deal. I will continue to dine at you establishment, especially on two dollar tuesdays, but I almost feel like it's a slap in the face to all hard working californians to see Arnold glorified and honored at your place with his own hot dog, while you run deals for the ever increasing poor class/laid off workers/people forced to furlough, when he is a huge part of why they are in such troubled times. Thank you, best of luck in the future to capitol dawg!

First time trying out them Dawgs, and my teenager and I throughly enjoyed the Downtown Dawg meal deal and Double Hot Dawg meal deal! The Beer Battered Onion Rings will be ordered again, and the customer service was EXCELLENT !! It is enjoyable being able to add your own items on the dawg. I was told "Wow you've got your own creation!" There is so much to look at, and that is a great addition.

This is what i have to say, first, hot dog people are the best!! Capdog changed my life and changed our crew lifes as well. How you ask?? I will let you know if you ask me!!! The decore is next to none, all over America, we traveled, filming hotdog joints, hotdog people, and learning all About the "hot dog" culture in America and Capitol dog is hands down ,the koolest joint , and great hotdogs!! Capitol Dawg is one of the best hot dog cafes in all of California and I have been everywhere in California sampling hot dogs.Their service is fast and courteous and their outdoor patio even has a cooling mist system for more comfort while eating their gastronomical hot dog meals.

My four faves: Mike Brown, Tufano's, Shots of Patron, and a delicious grilled "Capitol Dog" & fries !!!! .......Oh how I'm totally craving one of ur special "dawgs" !! Absolutely the best ; juicy and great tasting!!
